"You can kiss your family and friends good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you do not just live in a world but a world lives in you."
- Frederick Buechner

What would the world within us be without our family and friends? Sometimes that world is far from peaceful. It may be wracked with loss and turmoil, frustration and longing. At other times it may be bathed in joy and connection, and a sense of wholeness and gratitude.

To be accepted for who we are and to accept others for who they are is not always straight forward. In this ceremony we will hold our family and friends, those alive and those departed, deeply in our heart and mind - taking the space and opportunity to acknowledge the crucial and often precious part they play in our journey.

This is a ceremony for grieving and deep gratitude, welcoming the complexity of feelings that family and friends brings.

If you have a particular object to bring for the altar representing a family member or friend please do.

Led by Interfaith Ministers Rev Alison Trower & Rev Amy Firth, this service will include music, prayer, reflection, silence, community connection & the beautiful Threshold Choir.

Suggested donation: £5
You are welcome to arrive from 6:45pm & we will be completed by 8:30pm with tea & treats.
